Apparently people are expecting big things from the Gators this season. At this point all of the major preseason basketball magazines have been released, and the consensus seems to be that UF is heading back to the NCAA Tournament after missing out on the Big Dance last season for the first time in 10 years.
Lindy's picks UF to finish second in the eastern half of the Southeastern Conference behind Tennessee and make it back to the tournament.
Athlon Sports also picks the Gators to finish second to the Volunteers in the SEC East but predicts a second-round tournament exit.
ESPN's Dick Vitale has the Gators 17th nationally in his preseason rankings. He also foresees a trip back to the tournament for UF led by sophomore guard Nick Calathes.
