Road Rage Results in Arrests

Road rage led to a fistfight and a man's arrest Wednesday afternoon, according to a Gainesville Police report.

Two drivers began to argue from their cars over one not letting the other merge onto West University Avenue, the report stated.

Ryan Patrick Hinojosa, 25, told police he threw a three-ounce bottle of hand sanitizer into the other car at Earl Davis Jr., 45, striking him in the face, the report stated.

The two pulled over onto Southwest 32nd Street and continued to argue, using obscenities and racial slurs, the report stated.

Witnesses said that Hinojosa started to punch Davis and that Davis chest-bumped him, the report stated.

Hinojosa was arrested on charges of throwing a deadly missile into a vehicle and simple battery.
