The Reitz Union can now add a Redbox kiosk to its list of student services.

The kiosk, located outside of the Wachovia Bank  on the ground floor of the Reitz Union, was installed on Sept. 9.

It is funded by Student Government.

Redbox offers DVD rentals that cost $1 a day and Blu-ray discs for $1.50 a day. The cost is charged to a credit card.

Students can rent movies on campus and return them whenever they want to any Redbox kiosk in the area.

Student Body Vice President Marcus Dixon said the Redbox kiosk provides another movie rental option for students who live on campus or who do not have cars.

According to Dixon, SG has gotten positive feedback about the machine.

Sophomore Caleb Trainor noticed the Redbox kiosk Monday, and he has already used it three times.

“I’ve been sick, so I’ve just been sleeping and watching movies,” Trainor said.
