In the race for commissioner of agriculture and consumer services, Adam Putnam stands high above the rest.

Putnam is a Gator and holds a degree in food and resource economics from UF’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

As a student, Putnam continually proved himself to be a strong leader through his involvement in the Student Senate, the Florida Cicerones and Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity.

After graduation, voters elected Putnam to state House at the age of only 22 and served for four years before running for Congress in 2000. He has proudly and professionally represented Florida’s 12th Congressional District for the past 10 years.

Putnam is currently running for commissioner of agriculture and consumer services, a position perfectly suited for him as he is a fifth-generation Floridian born into a Polk County citrus and cattle ranching family.

His common-sense, real-life approach to agriculture is exactly what our state needs in this time of economic trouble.

Last year alone, agriculture contributed more than $1 billion to the state’s economy.

We need Putnam’s leadership and innovation to move our state’s economy and commodities forward.

I encourage you to vote for Adam Putnam in the coming week whether by absentee ballot, at one of the early voting locations or by voting in person a week from today. For more information about Putnam, please visit www.AdamPutnam.com or join Gators for Adam Putnam on Facebook.
