Florida seniors Logan Storie and Alex Martin improved their chances of ending their careers at Florida with titles at the NCAA Championships by posting qualifying times at the at the Bulldog Last Chance Meet this weekend in Athens, Ga.

Storie posted a season-best “B” qualifying time of 4:23.74 in the 500 yard freestyle, and Martin swam his fastest time of the year (3:50.46) to qualify in the 400 individual medley.

Sixteen other Gators posted “B” qualifying times, and ten swam season-best times to rank higher on the NCAA Championships invitation list.

Junior Shara Stafford, who took sixth place in the 50 free finals at the NCAA Championships last year, earned a season-best “B” qualifying time of 22.72 in the event.

Junior James Turner qualified in the 50 free as well and also moved up the ranks in the 100 free. Freshmen Trish Regan and Kaitlin Frehling and junior Angelina Ballatore all qualified for two events as well.

Diver Anthony Lewark posted a season-best score in the three-meter dive. His 396.45 would have earned him the bronze medal at the SEC Championships.
