Jeremy Postin laid down the hammer in historic fashion Friday.
The sophomore thrower broke the school record in the men’s hammer
throw, taking top honors with a throw of 64.70m/212-3 at the UCF
Invitational.
Postin already held the school record with a 60.58m/198-9 mark at
last season’s Tom Jones Memorial Classic.

Postin’s throw was also the first one in UF history to surpass 200
feet, leading head coach Mike Holloway to describe his performance
as “unbelievable.”

“All of the hard work that he put in indoors and leading up to
outdoors showed immediate results,” throws coach Steve Lemke said.
“We are expecting big things from him this season.”
