Tonight marks the most important event of the summer for Florida

Gators football recruiting. An estimated 200 high school players

will take the field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium for the

seventh-annual Friday Night Lights prospect camp.

The

Urban Meyer-bred tradition has grown into one of the nation’s

largest showcases for high school football players, and this year

will be no different. Florida will host at least four five-star

recruits including Tampa athlete Nelson Agholor, Olney, Md.,

receiver Stefon Diggs and Ramsey, N.J., defensive end Darius

Hamilton.

Friday Night Lights will also be a good chance to get a first

glimpse at upcoming top 2013 and 2014 prospects. 

Over the past two years, the event has resulted in three on-spot

oral commitments for the Gators.

The

event begins tonight at 7 p.m. and features combine workouts and

one-on-one drills. The camp is free and open to the public.
