A Gainesville man almost ran over his girlfriend Monday afternoon.

Antwan D. Mosley, 23, of 3220 SW 26th Terrace, was arrested on charges of aggravated battery and failing to stop after a crash that involved an injury, according to Gainesville Police.

Mosley and Tiare Green got into an argument at about 3:20 p.m. at Lewis Place at Ironwood Apartments, 4121 NE 15th St. Green told GPD she and Mosley have a child and, until recently, lived together.

After the argument, Mosley steered his car into Green. He drove forward after hitting her, and she gripped the driver-side door so he couldn’t run over her, police said. Mosley dragged Green for about two feet before she fell out of the way.

Mosley then drove away.

Green called GPD and told officer Mary Davis that the left side of her body hurt.

Davis did not see any injuries.

Mosley turned himself in at about 6:45 p.m.

He denied hitting Green, but he was held at the Alachua County Jail on Tuesday in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
