A man was hit by a car driving eastbound on West University Avenue early Sunday morning.
He ended up on the roof of the car as he tried to cross University Avenue outside of Fubar.
The man was transported to Shands at UF for injuries on the left side of his body and is stable condition, police said.
Eastbound traffic between West Third Street and West Second Street on University Avenue was shut down for about one hour, police said.
Police said neither the driver nor the man who was hit were visibly drunk, but police took blood samples from both and are waiting on toxicology reports.
