An off-duty Alachua County paramedic found an unidentified man stabbed at about 4:30 a.m.

The paramedic saw the man running along the 3000 block of Southwest Archer Road near Tuscan Bend Apartments.

The paramedic called 911.

When officers arrived, they found the man with a deep stab wound to his stomach, according to a GPD press release.

The man was transported to Shands at UF and is in surgery.

GPD is searching the area where he was found for witnesses who can identify the man.

GPD described the victim as a Hispanic male.
