Whether you are a student trying to take a spring break trip or just jaunting around Europe, it is always nice to find budget friendly travel accommodations. Finding flights online can sometimes resemble a bidding auction as you open several different sites to compare deals and try not to sell a limb to afford a ticket for your next big adventure.

This is where I come in. As the travelling gator, I have a lot of experience planning trips and trolling through the Internet for the best prices. I have been able to find the most budget friendly websites out there for both domestic and international airline tickets. Read with caution, this may cause you to empty your bank account for a week in the south of France.

Domestic and International:

1. Studentuniverse.com

Studentuniverse is a great site that provides discounts for students from major airline carriers. Very often these student rates end up being significantly better than what other websites offer. Studentuniverse has a feature called FarePlay that allows you type in where you are leaving from and then it will give you a deal and idea for a trip or tour. You just need to know that you want to go and not necessarily where you are going. This makes it exciting and fresh and not like your boring, run of the mill airline websites.

2. Statravel.com

STA travel is more than just a flight booking site. They offer tour ideas, day trips and adventure guides, hotels and much more. STA has flights and travel information for six continents (sorry, Antarctica). It is a trustworthy and respected travel company here and abroad and offers professional suggestions and great flight deals. I will definitely be booking an African safari with STA.

3. Skyscanner.com

While researching these websites, I found Skyscanner to be the most fun. With its cool blue colored website and inviting format, it seriously made me think I could buy a ticket to heaven. It is a wonderful site that offers discounts from over 1,000 airlines. With no hidden fees or charges, Skyscanner can help you find some of the best deals. It also has an application for smartphones, so whenever you are feeling adventurous you can scroll through skyscanner to find some amazing deals.

European travel sites:

1. easyJet.com

2. ryanair.com

For those of you lucky enough to be travelling through Europe, these are the sites for you. easyJet and Ryanair are both discount airlines that provide cheap flights without the hassle of having to scrounge through different travel deal websites. No fuss and plenty of destinations to choose from.

Easy Jet has a wonderful feature on its website called Inspire Me that randomly selects a trip for you to look at and shows the price of the flight. My randomly selected trip was a trip from London to Iceland for just ₤35!

I urge you to check some of these sites out and sign up for their travel deal alerts so they can let you know when your trip is at its cheapest.

Enjoy searching through flights to your most desired destinations.
