Summer is the perfect time to try out any big trends. Right now, printed shorts are having their moment of stardom. They are a great piece that add an extra twist to your look without asking for any extra effort. It’s so easy to just slip a pair on, toss on flowy T-shirt and you’re good to go. Here’s some pairs I found from Forever 21’s website.

These athletic-looking shorts is perfect for when you’re late and running to class. A dress-up version of running shorts, this pair can be matched with a plain white T-shirt and flats. You’ll look more polished than wearing your gym clothes, but you’ll feel just as comfortable.

Fourth of July weekend, anyone? This fun pair will jazz up any outfit. They’d look great with a loose top, or a tighter one tucked in. Add some flat sneakers and you have a perfect outfit for an outside barbecue.

These shorts look expensive but won’t even cost you an entire Jackson (they’re only $12.80!). If you pair them right, these shorts could take you from class to going out with a switch of a few accessories. Think loose shirt on top, with flat sandals and sunnies for day, and tucked in blouse, with wedges and a statement necklace for night. The ikat print is big right now too.

Calling all '60s fans! This fun pattern is unlike any other. You could wear these shorts with a white, navy, heck, even pink, blouse and they’ll look great. This polished pair can also work for any occasion and add a unique twist to your outfit.

This trend is a great way to include some more color or different patterns in your closet. Shop what you like, and pair them with what you have. Sometimes, a patterned bottom just looks best with a solid-colored top.
