Here at UF, bicycles are a popular choice of transportation. You can save gas and money, maneuver around traffic easily and park (pretty much) anywhere. So, if you’re planning on bringing along your bike to school in the fall, here’s some accessories to style up your ride.

Bike basket: Take a load of your back with this handy bike basket. A tight-knit wire design like this is great for ensuring nothing falls out.

Basket; Chubby’s Cruisers

Bike helmet: Trust me, wearing a helmet isn’t just for little kids. With the crazy traffic here in Gainesville, a helmet will save you if anything goes awry. Plus, the designs from this site won’t compromise style for safety.

Sneakers: Closed-toe shoes are the best for pedaling. Find a pair in a cute design that will add an unexpected pop to your outfit.

Bike lock: This is essential. You definitely don’t want to come back after class to a missing bike. This lock comes in 3 fun colors and you won’t have to touch the rusty chain.
