With fall season well underway, cities around the world are parading around the finest of their culture through Fashion Week. With all eyes on the newest collections for Spring-Summer 2014, the latest from designers worldwide are running the gauntlet with the media’s full attention. But which city has been making waves with new names and edgy designs?
Thousands flocked to Lincoln Center for NYFW in early September while many crossed the pond for London’s events at the Somerset House, which ended on Sept. 17. Both fashion icons and media alike are currently gathered in Paris for the ready to wear shows, where fashion houses such as Badgley Mischka and Nina Ricci have been making splashes into international news.
But the most celebrated of all fashion events took place in Milan, running from Sept. 18 to Sept. 23 at the fashion capital of the Mediterranean world.
Many trends swept the runway during the fashion shows, stemming from cerulean hues to the widespread usage of sheer material as seen in many different shows.
