Florida coach Billy Donovan talks with reporters during Southeastern Conference Basketball Media Days in Birmingham, Ala., on Thursday.

UF coach Billy Donovan and senior center Patric Young discussed a handful of topics on Thursday, the second day of Southeastern Conference Basketball Media Days in Birmingham, Ala.

Here are five quotes that stood out:

1. Young on Kentucky’s top-ranked recruiting class:

“I hope they think they can just walk on the court and they’re going to beat everybody. I hope that's what they think. As soon as they play a real top team, they're going to see it’s not just a walk in the park. One-and-done is not for everybody.”

2. Donovan on freshman forward Chris Walker, who is not yet enrolled at UF:

“I can’t talk about him. I apologize. If we get to Signing Day again, I’d be happy to talk to you about it.”

3. Young on UK freshman forward Julius Randle being picked by the media as preseason SEC Player of the Year:

“This guy has not gone through any adversity or played a single minute yet, so we will see how things turn out.”

4. Donovan on this year’s Tennessee team:

“They’re a very veteran-laden, senior-laden team that’s got a lot of experience ... I think they’re going to be as good as anybody in this league.”
