The Gators received their second commitment in as many days.
Three-star wide receiver Derrick Dillon announced his verbal commitment to Florida on Friday, adding another future weapon for Kurt Roper's spread offense.
His announcement came one day after three-star defensive lineman Anthony Ivie announced his verbal commitment to UF.
Dillon also received offers from Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Texas and UCLA, among others.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Dillon — who has a 40-yard dash time in the 4.4 range — tallied 2219 all-purpose yards with seven passing touchdowns and 26 rushing scores in his junior year at Franklinton (La.) Pine High School while also grabbing three interceptions on defense.
On the same day, three-star receiver Deondre Farrier decommited from Florida, keeping the Gators 2015 class at eight.
Farrier caught 55 passes for 909 yards and seven scores last year at Orlando Lake Nona High School. In addition to Florida, the 6-foot, 184-pound Farrier has offers from Southern California, Miami (FL) and Kentucky, among other
Dillon is Florida’s joins Tristan Payton as the only wide receivers on Florida's list of commits. The Gators have tight end commit Camrin Knight in the class as well.
