Gainesvillista: Trending

I have been absolutely loving the trends going on this summer. Usually I am not about always jumping on the bandwagon, but these trends have been styles I have worn for a while. It is like suddenly everything I like is in every store across the world. Literally. I saw them all over Paris and London as well as the US.

Skorts. This leather one from H&M is gorgeous. I would pair it with a loose printed top and some suede black heels.

Prints. Prints on everything. Pants, shorts, tops, shoes, dresses. I love them. So much. This Aztec print dress is seriously so pretty.

Kimonos. This trend is much fun. You can wear a solid, and a printed kimono over top and change your look completely. I got my first one around Christmas time from H&M and I really want one in a summer print. Also, it gives me an excuse to refer to My Big Fat Greek Wedding: "Robe...Kimono, there you go."

Jumpsuits and rompers. I have had a few rompers from previous years, but never a jumpsuit. I got my first one from Primark when I was in London and it is definitely my new favorite item in my closet. They are easy, comfortable and standout. AKA fashion perfection. I love this one from Dailylook. It seems super chill, but cute at the same time.

Palazzo Pants. I have been a Palazzo pant lover since last fall. They look great on most people, and it is a great way to add prints into your wardrobe. I have a couple pairs, and I love how they give me that bohemian look for summer, which is currently my favorite style to wear. I am obsessed with these daisy ones from Target and might just have to make an online order soon. Target has a good selection of palazzo pants at great prices!

These trends are perfect for summer, but can easily be transitioned into fall and winter. Add a leather jacket to a jumpsuit or palazzo pants, or tights with a skort or kimono and it is instantly perfect for the next few seasons.
