A man was arrested Wednesday night for molesting two children he babysat in October, police said.

Alexander Cain Abele, 19, of Gainesville, was accused of molestation after his neighbor caught him last month with one of her three children, according to a Gainesville Police arrest report.

Abele came to visit the residence, at the 500 block of Northwest eighth Ave, to play video games, the report said. He took one of the children inside of a room and locked the door.

The mother asked one of her other children to knock on the door, but Abele yelled to go away, police said. The mother later saw Abele kissing the child.

During an interview with the Child Advocacy Center, the child said Abele wanted a “long kiss,” the report said. The child said she did this multiple times in the past so Abele wouldn’t get mad at her.

Another child said Abele touched her inappropriately, the report said.

Abele later admitted to taking advantage of the children, the report said.

Abele is charged with sexual battery and lewd and lascivious molestation, the report said. He is being held in the Alachua County Jail in lieu of a $750,000 bond.
