<p>Florida's men's and women's diving teams had three top-five finishes and two top-ten finishes on Day 1 of the Auburn Invitational.</p>

Florida's men's and women's diving teams had three top-five finishes and two top-ten finishes on Day 1 of the Auburn Invitational.

The first two days of the Auburn Diving Invitational at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center are now in the books, and the Florida Gators’ diving teams added two more top-five finishes to this week's results.

Sophomore Emma Whitner and freshman Elizabeth Perez led the leaderboard for the second-straight day for UF, this time in the women's one-meter event.

Whitner placed fourth in the finals behind a personal-best performance on Tuesday. The Clermont, Florida, native scored a 271.25, adding a second top-five finish to the scorecard after finishing in fourth place on Monday in the three meter.

Perez, a freshman from Venezuela, found her way into the top five as well on Tuesday by scoring 265.40 in the one-meter finals. She claimed fifth-place just behind Whitner, accomplishing a second top-five finish of her own. She took the runner-up spot in the three meter on Monday.

Three other Florida women captured top-10 finishes for the Gators as seniors Teya Syskakis (253.45) and Abigail Howell (237.00) finished in seventh and ninth place, respectively, while freshman Lauren Snider (222.45) rounded out the top 10.

The men competed in the three-meter event on Tuesday, and a familiar face led Florida once again.

Freshman Nick Lydon finished first among all UF men's divers on Tuesday after doing the same on Day 1 of the invitational, He finished eighth in the finals with a score of 316.50.

Fellow freshman, Lyle Hayes-Macaluso claimed the 10th spot on the leaderboard with a finals score of 307.25.

Junior Alex Farrow (274.35) placed 12th, and freshman Santiago Morales (270.65) finished in 14th place.

The final day of the Auburn Invitational will take place on Wednesday with both the men and women competing on platform, the final event of the meet.

Day 3 will be underway starting at 1 p.m.

The UF women's diving team took first place at the Auburn Invitational with a total score of 184 points, 76 more than second-place South Carolina.
