Donald Trump Jr. to host campaign event at Gainesville gun shop and shooting range

Donald Trump Jr. is returning to Gainesville next week.

The son of President Donald Trump will host an event Monday at noon at Shoot GTR at 1610 NW 65 Place in Gainesville, according to the Trump campaign website.

The Alachua County stop is one of two “Make America Great Again” events taking place that day, with the other at a gun shop and shooting range in Kennesaw, Georgia, at 4:30 p.m., according to the event page. 

Trump Jr. came to Gainesville in October 2019, where he and his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle, a senior adviser to the Trump campaign, spoke on campus at a UF ACCENT Speakers Bureau event. Both he and Guilfoyle received a total of $50,000 for speaking at the event.

Trump will speak in Sanford on Friday at 7 p.m. Trump Jr. will speak in Tampa, Kissimme and Coconut Creek on Saturday as part of a “Fighters Against Socialism” bus tour. The Florida appearances end in Gainesville on Monday.
