Florida baseball announced its 2022 spring schedule on Wednesday, complete with 56 total games, 34 of which at Florida Ballpark.

The Gators open the season with a non-conference home series against Liberty. The three-game weekend series will take place on Feb. 18-20 in Gainesville, their second straight season opener at their new stadium.

Other notable non-conference matchups include three-game sets against both Miami and Florida State.

Florida looks to bounce back in 2022 after dropping two games to lose last season’s series against the Hurricanes. This time, the Gators travel to Miami on March 4-6.

The Gators will also continue the tradition of facing Florida State on three separate occasions in three separate places. The in-state rivalry series kicks off on March 15 as Florida hosts the Seminoles at Florida Ballpark. The two teams meet again on March 29 in Jacksonville before they close out the series on April 12 in Tallahassee.

Conference play for the Gators begins on March 18 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama against the Crimson Tide. Florida will also travel to take on Georgia, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State and Missouri throughout SEC play.

Florida Ballpark will see its first SEC matchup on March 25 against LSU. The Gators host Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky and South Carolina this time around for conference battles.

The home series against South Carolina from May 19-21 will close out the 2022 regular season.

Before the 2022 season begins, though, the Gators face two foes in the fall of 2021. Florida will first take on Georgia in Jacksonville on Oct. 29 as a prelude to the Florida-Georgia football festivities. The Gators also host Georgia Southern on Oct. 23.
