Florida football’s sophomore quarterback DJ Lagway signed an NIL deal with the Jordan Brand, the company announced Friday morning.
Jordan’s press release and newest Instagram post confirmed that Lagway has officially joined the Jumpman family.
“DJ’s rise is fueled by talent, grit and a mindset built for greatness,” the Jordan Brand said in a press release. “This moment marks the start of an exciting new chapter.”
The University of Florida is already a Jordan Brand partner school, and now, its promising young quarterback has become the newest member of the iconic brand.
The UF quarterback played in 12 games for the Gators as a freshman in 2024, going 6-1 in games that he started in and leading his squad to a 33-8 win over Tulane in the Gasparilla Bowl. Now, the day before Florida’s season opener against Long Island University, the Jordan Brand has added Lagway as another face of its brand through its newest Name, Image and Likeness deal.
Lagway joins top NFL talents like Maxx Crosby and Cameron Jordan, quarterbacks Jalen Hurts and Bryce Young and receivers Puka Nacua and Devonta Adams. He is also only the third NCAA football player and first collegiate quarterback to be endorsed by Jordan Brand, following in the footsteps of Georgia wide receiver Zachariah Branch and safety Zion Branch.
“He’s a football junkie,” head coach Billy Napier said about his star-studded sophomore gunslinger on Monday. “He’s consumed with improvement and he’s already started his process to play this week.”
