Gators freshman receiver Dallas Wilson is expected to miss the remainder of the 2025 season due to a foot injury, according to a report by Swamp247’s Matt Zenitz.

Wilson suited up against the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs but left the contest with two minutes remaining in the first half. He was seen limping off the field and went into the locker room, failing to return in the second half. Because he's appeared in just four games this season, the Florida receiver is eligible for a medical redshirt.

The injury could be a significant blow to Florida's offense, which is second-to-last in points per game and has the fourth-worst passing attack in the Southeastern Conference.

Wilson entered the season with high expectations following an impressive outing in the Gators' spring scrimmage, where he logged 10 catches for 195 receiving yards. He set the program record for the most receptions and tied the record for the most receiving yards in the spring game.

However, Wilson had to wait to make an on-field impact due to a foot injury he suffered during fall camp. He spent time in a cast and missed the first four games of the season.

Following Florida’s first bye week, Wilson made his debut against the then-No. 9 Texas Longhorns. The freshman wide receiver grabbed six passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns, setting UF debut records for a freshman in all three categories.

“It meant everything,” Wilson said. “I had all my brothers around me in the room, shoutout to all the receivers. I had [Lagway] pushing me on, I had all the coaches. … Everybody believed in everybody, so it was good coming out there with all the guys.”

Florida has also suffered a myriad of injuries at the wide receiver position. Leading freshman receiver Vernell Brown III is out for an undisclosed period of time following an AC sprain against Mississippi State. Sophomore receiver Aiden Mizell is also battling an injury.

The Gators return to action against the Kentucky Wildcats (3-5, 1-5) at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Kroger Field in Lexington, Kentucky.
