With only about an hour and 40 minutes between matches, the Gators were set to wrap up the doubleheader weekend against the North Carolina A&T Aggies.

Florida (12-10) looked to get even on the weekend with a win over North Carolina A&T (10-7), and it did exactly that. In a bizarre matchup that only lasted an hour and 25 minutes, the Gators took the advantage and never looked back.

UF swept the competition in a match that consisted only the singles portion, per the coaches' decision.

Sophomore Francesco Cordova secured the 4-0 triumph for Florida, as he wrapped up the match with a 6-1, 6-4 straight set victory. Senior Pablo Perez Ramos continued his control as he went up 6-0 against freshman Ben Werle. As his serves were thrown up and slammed down, the Spaniard continued his conquest as he went unbeaten in singles during the doubleheader. The Gator won in identical straight sets 6-0.

The energy seemed to feed off of the Gators as they pressed on.

Junior Tanapatt Nirundorn secured another point for Florida as he continued the Gator dominance with another straight-set victory. He rolled over freshman Illia Olefir with a 6-1, 6-2 victory.

Florida’s own Freshman Andreas Timini secured his first singles victory of the weekend with a 6-4, 6-0 win against senior Mathieu Dussaubat.

Senior Lorenzo Claverie’s match was left unfinished as he went up 6-1 and 4-3 (15-0). The other match that went unfinished for the Gators was junior Adhithya Ganesan’s, as his game favored him 6-4, 4-3.

The Gators will finish off their Southeastern Conference home-stretch against No. 17 Vanderbilt at 5 p.m. on Thursday and No. 7 Louisiana State University at 12 p.m. on Saturday at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.
