Errors and exits: What went wrong at Super Regionals

To say the least, the 2026 campaign has been a whirlwind of a time for Florida softball. Despite the raw power and long-term dominance the Gators flashed throughout the season, they fell short of their 14th Women’s College World Series. After three hard-fought games in the NCAA Super Regionals, UF saw its season end at the hands of the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Florida’s season comes to a close in chaotic Game 3

No. 11 Texas Tech (57-7) run-ruled No. 6 Florida (52-13), 16-7, Sunday at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. The Red Raiders advanced to Oklahoma City for the second straight season, while the Gators suffered just their fourth Super Regional loss at home in program history.

Florida bounces back with rout of Texas Tech in Game 2

No. 6 Florida (52-11) dominated No. 11 Texas Tech (56-7), 10-2, Saturday at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. The victory marks the fourth-straight Super Regional in which UF has advanced to a decisive Game 3.

No. 6 Florida falls to No. 11 Texas Tech in wild Super Regional slugfest

In a rollercoaster contest, No. 6 Florida (51-11) fell to No. 11 Texas Tech (56-6) 10-8 on Friday afternoon at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. The victory marked the Red Raiders’ first-ever win over the Gators after previously going 0-4 in the all-time series.

For the 17th time in program history, Florida has advanced to Super Regionals, and once again, head coach Tim Walton’s squad sits two wins away from the Women’s College World Series. But standing in UF’s way is the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The teams meet Friday at 11 a.m. in Game One of the 2026 Gainesville Super Regional.

Shumaker’s record-breaking day powers No. 6 Florida to sweep of 2026 Gainesville Regional

Florida dominates Georgia Tech in Game 2 of Gainesville Regional

The four-run frame propelled No. 6 Florida (50-10) to its seventh straight run-rule victory in regional play, defeating Georgia Tech (31-28) 8-0 on Saturday at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. The Gators have now outscored opponents 20-0 through their first two regional games.

Florida annihilates Florida A&M in Game 1 of Gainesville Super Regional

Behind the offensive outburst, No. 6 Florida (49-10) defeated the Florida A&M Rattlers (38-21) 12-0 Friday at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. The Gators improved to 24-0 all-time against the Rattlers with the victory.
