Two out of every three visitors access Alligator.org through a phone. Our website draws anywhere between 150,000 and 250,000 total visits each month. But as we strive to become a digital-first newspaper, our website’s flaws have become more apparent.

Our reporters and editors work hard to push new articles to our website every day, through a mix of breaking news, deeply reported accountability stories, arts and culture features and reliable Gator sports coverage.

Yet our readers have reported not knowing where to click when they enter our site, sometimes confronted with too-small buttons or dizzying navigation bar dropdown options.

Our team of web and data designers are now working to improve our website — bringing the UF, Gainesville and greater Alachua County communities the news they deserve in an accessible format. But we need your help.

By taking a few minutes to take our website and mobile experience survey, you can help us identify Alligator.org’s problems and work toward solutions.

At the end of February, we celebrated Student Press Freedom Day, a national day of activism to support the important work of papers like The Alligator across the U.S. By making our content accessible to readers across the state and country you help us achieve our mission of independent, nonprofit reporting.
