Alachua County woman accused of throwing feces at father during fight

The incident followed a dispute over alcohol

A domestic dispute in Alachua County took a messy turn Monday after deputies say a woman threw feces at her father.

According to the arrest report, the fight leading to the alleged feces-throwing began around 3:45 p.m. after 25-year-old Elisa Rivera’s mother told her she couldn’t come on a trip to Gainesville with her. In response, Rivera jumped on top of the car, denting it.

When the 62-year-old woman attempted to go back inside, Rivera allegedly dragged her mother to the ground and stole her purse, stopping only when her father intervened.

About an hour later, deputies said Rivera became upset when her father refused to give her alcohol from his liquor cabinet. According to the report, Rivera then squatted, defecated into her hand and threw feces at the 68-year-old man.

The dispute left the right side of her mother’s body and face swollen, according to the report. The deputy noted a “brown substance” stuck in her father’s hair alongside a bleeding bite mark.

Rivera was charged with robbery without a weapon, criminal mischief and battery on a person 65 years or older. She was booked into the Alachua County Jail shortly before 9 p.m.
