Without a doubt, the University of Florida is a football school. It has been and it will continue to be the school’s focus in athletics. But in a year when the football program recorded its worst season since 1979, the rest of Florida athletics stepped up to bring national recognition to Gainesville. Gators win national championship

Remembering UF student Nyla Holland
Mar. 10Holland, a UF animal sciences sophomore, died in Gainesville March 2. She was 20 years old. Family and friends remember Holland as a resilient, energetic and loving jack-of-all-trades.
