Who Whale You Be

Arianne Lazaro, an 18-year-old materials engineering freshman, peels off a yellow foam whale with her name on it during the Freshman Leadership Program’s mentor reveal Sept. 15, 2015. The program pairs incoming freshmen and sophomores with student mentors that will guide them through college life. “I think it’s beneficial,” Larazo said. “Especially when you’re transitioning to college. I’ve met the mentors and I think they are all really nice.”
