Rockeys Dueling Piano Bar will host a final celebration on Saturday at 8 p.m. It has been open since 2010.

Rockeys Dueling Piano Bar will host a “Final Celebration Before Celebration Pointe” on Saturday at 8 p.m. before closing its doors.

The festivities at the bar, 112 S. Main St., will include performances by one of its owners, Brad Heron, in addition to America’s Got Talent participant Mike Stone and others.

The piano bar has been owned by Heron and Scott Schmailzl since it opened in 2010.

“It’s going to be a final goodbye celebration for all the good times we’ve had,” Heron said. “We’ve been blessed to have an amazing run with great patrons these past 10 years and look forward to bringing that same energy level to entertain everyone at The Keys.”

Heron is closing the bar to focus on The Keys, a seafood restaurant opening in Celebration Pointe, he said. The Keys will be co-owned by Heron, Tony Espetia, former owner of Rum Runners and Fat Tuesday in Gainesville, and Diego Ibanez, co-owner of Emiliano’s Café at 7 SE 1st Ave. The Keys will show what Gainesville and Florida have to offer by using local products, Heron said.

Rockeys will have final shows on Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m. before the “Final Celebration at Celebration Pointe” on Saturday, Heron said.
