A man was arrested early Thursday morning for elbowing and pushing a pregnant woman during an argument.

Jabaric Bell, who is 6 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 225 pounds, was gathering his things to leave the house he shares with his girlfriend when they got into an argument over items that belonged to her, including sports cards, according to an Alachua County Sheriff's Office report.

She told police that Bell elbowed her twice and pushed her into the bedroom wall, according to the report.

Bell told police he was trying to take his things and leave with his cousin. He said he did not hit the woman and "pivoted" to get around her.

The woman told police she was not injured.

Bell said he knew she was 6-months pregnant and believes the child is his.
