Texas Longhorns and the Florida Gators face-off on Saturday, Oct. 4th, 2025, at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Fla.

The Gators (1-3) take on the No. 9 Texas Longhorns (3-1) at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium Saturday. Stay tuned for live updates.

HALFTIME: Florida 19, Texas 7. A first half no one truly saw coming. The Gators have been on fire offensively, racking up 263 yards in the first 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the Gators' usually stout defense has been electric, limiting Texas to 87 total yards.

Q2 | 0:18: Brien Taylor Jr. slams down Manning on third down for a big loss. That's the final play of the half.

Q2 | 0:41: Texas seems content to let some clock run, so UF calls timeout. UT now faces a 3rd-and-9 from its own 14-yard line.

Q2 | 1:46: Tommy Doman's punt is downed at the UT 12-yard line. It went 51 yards.

Q2 | 1:58: A crafty screen play to Baugh puts the Gators in better punting position. Lagway looked a little uncomfortable coming off the field as he got clipped slightly on that one. Florida will punt after the two-minute timeout.

Q2 | 3:44: Brown returns the punt 21 yards to the UF 40-yard line, and the Gators will start with good field position.

SAFETY: Q2: 3:52: Bouwmeester's punt is blocked by Taylor Spierto, and the ball rolls to the back of the end zone. Its a safety. Florida 19, Texas 7.

Q2 | 4:00: After two failed plays, Texas faces a crucial 3rd-and-9 well into its own territory. Manning drops back, surveys, and throws it deep for Emmett Mosley V. He was open, but the ball went long. Texas will punt.

TOUCHDOWN: Q2 | 4:55: Lagway finds a wide open Dallas Wilson, who scores his first collegiate touchdown. 13-yards was the distance. Smack's PAT is good. Florida 17, Texas 7.

Q2 | 4:59: Timeout, Florida. It's their second of the half. They face a 2nd-and-10 at the 13-yard line.

Q2 | 6:05: Dallas Wilson with a big boy catch for an 18-yard gain, and UF is up to the Texas 14-yard line. Nice throw there by Lagway, who put that one right up there for the physically impressive wideout.

Q2 | 7:11: Another impressive run by Clark, who has shined thus far. 11-yard gain for a first down, and UF is at the Texas 35-yard line.

Q2 | 7:30: Lagway looks deep on 1st-and-10 towards Wilson. The ball falls incomplete, and there is no flag.

Q2 | 7:40: On 3rd-and-7, Lagway fires towards a slanting Sturdivant for a big gain of 18. A broken tackle would have led to a touchdown there.

Q2 | 9:26: Brown III returns the kickoff to the 23-yard line. On 1st-and-10, Lagway fires to Brown, who shifts free of a defender and gets UF's 12th first down of the half.

Q2 | 11:02: Coverage is blown on the left side of the field, and Manning finds a wide open Livingstone for a 33-yard gain. Livingstone limped off the field after the play. Texas is up to the UF 10-yard line.

Q2 | 12:06: Lagway finds a wide open Hayden Hansen, who steps forward and fumbles after a punch out by Ty'Anthony Smith. Anthony Hill Jr. recovers the fumble and runs it back 21 yards. The play is under review, and the call is quickly upheld. Texas takes over at the UF 45-yard line.

Q2 | 12:42: Clark bursts out for a 9-yard carry, and a Texas personal foul moves UF to its own 47-yard line.

Q2 | 13:28: Lagway is out of the tent and leads UF back onto the field. He completes a screen pass to Mizell to start the drive.

Q2 | 13:37: Manning overshoots Livingstone on third down, and Texas will once again punt. Bouwmeester's punt sails into the end zone for a touchback, and it is once again raining here in Gainesville.

Q2 | 14:00: Woods slams Endries down to the ground after a short gain, and Texas now faces a 3rd-and-9 in its own territory.

END OF THE FIRST QUARTER: Florida 10, Texas 0: About as good of an opening drive that UF could have hoped for, but Lagway's potential injury could put a cloud over the rest of this game.

Q1 | 0:45: DJ Lagway is in the medical tent after UF's scoring drive. Meanwhile, Manning is nearly picked off once again, but he converts.

FIELD GOAL MADE: Q1 | 1:00: Smack hits the kick from 29-yards out, and Florida leads 10-0 with the first quarter nearing its end.

Q1 | 1:04: On 3rd-and-8 from the UT 16-yard line, Lagway drops back and fires towards Wilson, but he overshoots. Smack and the field goal unit take the field.

Q1 | 2:15: Lagway pitches it to Clark on 3rd-and-2, and he muscles for a three yard gain and a first down. UF is 4-4 on third down and has already gained more yards through the first 13 minutes than it did all game against Miami.

Q1 | 2:34: Lagway's first real miss of the day comes when he looks for Sturdivant on 2nd-and-2. Gators face a third down near the red zone.

Q1 | 3:38: Have a day, Jadan Baugh. Another electric run, breaking tackles for a gain of 12 yards and another Florida first down.

Q1 | 4:28: Lagway starts the drive with a throw to a wide open J. Michael Sturdivant for a 23-yard line. That's Lagway's second completion for 20 or more air yards all season. On the next play, Baugh runs right for a gain of 16, and UF is on the UT 41-yard line.

Q1 | 5:12: Jack Bouwmeester punts for Texas, and it is nearly saved at the 1-yard line, but ultimately, it falls for a touchdown. 40-yard punt with no return. UF takes over at the 20-yard line.

Q1 | 5:22: On 3rd-and-10, Manning is chased right and is forced to throw it away. The Longhorns will line up to punt.

Q1 | 5:44: Manning makes a nice play with his legs, gaining 14 for a Texas first down. One play later, however, and he's swallowed up behind the line by Myles Graham. Texas at the UF 40-yard line.

Q1 | 7:13: Quintrevion Wisner is stuffed on Texas' opening play by Tyreak Sapp for a loss of two. One play later, Arch Manning finds Trey Livingstone for a gain of 14.

Q1 | 7:55: In classic Florida fashion, what was a torrential downpour has immediately stopped in a matter of minutes. Smack kicks to the back of the end zone, and Texas takes over. A Florida offsides puts UT at the 30-yard line.

TOUCHDOWN: Q1 | 7:58: Lagway hands it to Baugh, who runs right and finds the end zone for a five-yard score. Smack hits the PAT, and the Gators take a 7-0 lead. That drive went 13 plays, 84 yards and featured six first downs.

Q1 | 8:01: The rain is now coming down HARD here at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Florida faces a 3rd-and-1 at the Texas 5-yard line.

Q1 | 9:35: Baugh with all sorts of space down the middle of the field for a big gain of 12. That's five first downs for UF on the opening drive.

Q1 | 10:33: At midfield, the Gators face a 3rd-and-4. They hand the ball to Brown III on a designed play, and he goes around the edge for a gain of 14 yards. 2-2 on third downs for UF on this opening drive.

Q1 | 12:11: As the rain starts to fall once again, Florida faces a 3rd-and-6. Lagway drops back and finds Aidan Mizell, who gets 9 yards for the conversion. That's the first third-down conversion by the Gators since the LSU game.

Q1 | 14:34: On the opening play, Lagway finds freshman Dallas Wilson, who is blown up and he fumbles. He manages to recover. Not the way the true freshman wanted his first career catch to go.

KICKOFF: Will Stone boots it for the Longhorns, and we are underway. Vernell Brown III runs it out of the end zone, and is tripped up at the 15-yard line. Poor starting field position for the Gators.

PREGAME:

The Longhorns have won the coin toss and they choose to defer. Florida will start with the ball. It is 82 degrees outside, and the wind is blowing 7 miles per hour.

While the rain has halted, the wind has picked up once again. Skies are seemingly clearing, but in a slow matter.

The rain has picked up a little bit as pregame warmups conclude. No signs of lightning or any delay.

A light drizzle has started around 3:00, and fans begin to take out their ponchos. The wind is still heavy.

The wind here at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium is picking up, leaving a cool breeze. Forecasts call for rain in the next 30-45 minutes.

INJURY REPORT:

Florida is without eight players on Saturday, including running backs Ja'Kobi Jackson and Treyaun Webb. That paves the way for freshman Duke Clark to have an increased role in this afternoon's matchup.

On the defensive line, Caleb Banks, Joseph Mbatchou and LJ McCray are all out. In the secondary, Aaron Gates and Dijon Johnson are inactive.

Defensive lineman Brendan Bett, Michai Boireau and George Gumbs Jr. all return for the Gators. Meanwhile, true freshman wide receiver Dallas Wilson will officially make his Gator debut.

For Texas, running back CJ Baxter has been ruled out. Defensive back Malik Muhammad was a game-time decision, but did not warm up and is in street clothes. He is out.
