Topless billboards, the Moulin Rouge, supportless clubgoers, ooo la la; what guy wouldn’t want to hit up Paris for some lady action. They’re free spirited, and French. In the sports world, certain teams can only win for so long before a changing of the guard takes place. Professional teams like the Chicago Bulls, New York Yankees, Montreal Canadians, and Pittsburgh Steelers all had their eras of dominance before their winning ways left them.
The dog days of summer are fondly known for their carefree spirit, sun-soaked beach trips and sticky popsicles. And, if you don’t eschew social media, television or newspapers, then you already know that summer is the heart of music festival season. Music festivals are where the worlds of music and fashion beautifully collide leaving lots of boho-chic Instagram posts in their wake.
After four years of anticipation, the 2014 FIFA World Cup is now finally upon us! Thirty-two nations will enter Brazil with championship aspirations, but only one will leave with the trophy. There is much speculation on which country will win it all, and I too have my thoughts on the matter. As of June 10, 2014, here are my 2014 FIFA World Cup predictions.
Respect. The simple seven letter word that contributes to the foundation on which the world is built. You respect others, they respect you. When the world functions in this fashion, which it never seems to do, everything is happy and peaceful. However, there is also a flip side. This side is when respect is lost in translation. Gazing over sandy dunes into the calm Atlantic, one can almost ignore the brisk wind ever-present even in June, and imagine being on the shores of Florida. However here, on the beaches of Normandy, France, thousands have gathered to remember the events of June 6, 1944- known by Americans as D-Day.

To be honest, I’m here to talk about the song.
Although The Fest was over two weeks ago, I still endure a wave of nausea when a punk song comes on my iPhone. It could be the countless and cheap PBR consumed or the stench of those die-hard punk fans that skip the soap in the shower.
If you were to visit the official “The Hunger Games” website, you’d find a minimalist page with black borders and warm accents. You’d find stills from the film, short biographies of the actors and a link to the film’s sequel: “Catching Fire.”
Many of us are aware of the ever-so-famous low-carb diet… but, like the amount of calories in a Starbucks white chocolate mocha, we refuse to acknowledge its existence. Your creamy Phineas and Ferb mac n’ cheese is just too convenient. Leo’s garlic rolls are just too satisfying. And, come on, what’s game day without Bud?
I’m not going to lie and say that as a kid, watching “CSI” didn’t lead me to seriously consider a career in crime scene investigation. Marathons of the serial crime drama led me to believe that life in the field would be all about examining dead bodies and using pH strips to divulge the murder weapon. Does this even make sense?
Everyone knows the struggle of picking classes. It can be a very stressful time making sure you get the classes you need and making sure you are not failing college and whatnot. Since this dreaded time is upon on us, here are a few tips for surviving it.
