Although Gary Cismesia kicked a miraculous 60-yard field goal as time expired, the Seminoles haven't been able to do much more than that as the Gators lead 24-12 at the half. Tim Tebow has thrown two touchdowns to Louis Murphy and Tebow has also ran for one, helping further his Hesiman campaign.
UF fell just shy of upsetting No. 20 Florida State, losing a heartbreak 81-78 Friday night.
Cornerback Joe Haden, who was questionable with a right ankle sprain, is on the field and warming up. It was going to be a game-time decision whether the freshman, UF's top corner, would start. More on this as the lineups are announced.
In one of their poorest efforts in years, it seems like all of the Gators inadequacies were on display Friday night against Florida State in the 65-51 loss.
Tim Tebow would never admit to it, but he sent a message to Geno Hayes and the Seminoles on the Gators' first drive. After Hayes got in Tebow's face, the sophomore sensation then proceeded to run for a first down on 3rd and 15. After that Tebow avoided two 'Noles Defenders and ran it in for a touchdown from 22-yards out. The Gators lead 7-3.
UF fell just shy of upsetting No. 20 Florida State and the Gators will be left wondering what could have been after a 81-78 loss Friday night.
Who/When/Where: UF (3-1) vs. No. 20 Florida State (4-1), 5:30 p.m., O'Connell
This week, I wrote a lengthy feature about Andre Caldwell, and yet despite the amount of space I was allotted, I still couldn't fit all the information I gathered into the story.

UF coach Amanda Butler announced this morning the signing of her inaugural recruiting class.
After trailing 21-0 early on, FAU came storming back to make it just an 15-point deficit at the half. The Gators lead 35-20 after a Tim Tebow 26-yard pass to Cornelius Ingram with just 14 seconds left in the half.
Surprise Surprise. The Gators lead 21-0 after the first quarter. Perhaps the biggest surprise is that Tim Tebow has been a part of only one of them. Tebow's still been great with only one incompletion. The Gators have scored on a 9-yard Kestahn Moore run, a blocked punt and returned by Markus Manson and a Tebow throw to tight end Cornelius Ingram. The most exciting play of the half was a shovel off to backup tight end Aaron Hernandez, who rumbled for 29 yards. Urban Meyer has said Hernandez would get more involved and so far he's lived up to his words.
While there pregame atmosphere today is not nearly like any SEC game, there has been a few FAU supporters sprinkled here and there. The most entertaining so far has been a car driving by with "Go Owls" and "Hoot Hoot" on it. While it's very debatable if they'll still be prideful after the game, it's still about the best atmosphere on campus.
If you're keeping track at home, yes, FAU has really just scored 10 unanswered points.
There's not much to report, but here's what Urban Meyer said on Brandon James not playing today.
Safety Jamar Hornsby, who has been absent from practice and games the past few weeks, is still out today. He wasn't on the pregame dress roster and doesn't appear to be on the field. Urban Meyer said he should be back Monday.
Alabama was scrapping and fighting to get into the national tournament.
In less than 10 minutes of play, the Gators have driven for two touchdowns and now lead 49-20. Kestahn Moore ran in his second score of the day to make it 42-20 and then Tim Tebow completed a pass to tight end Aaron Hernandez, who wrested it away from a FAU defender, to make it 49-20. Hernandez has three catches 58 yards on the day. The freshman has really stepped it up and living up to the hype of coming in as the nation's highest ranked tight end.
I'm sure this is not the way Tim Tebow wanted to win the Heisman Trophy.
