UF Master of Fine Arts students get new studio space

The new Graduate Research for Art Development studios, also known as GRADhaus studios, will officially open to the public at 7:30 p.m. Friday during Artwalk Gainesville. GRADhaus, which will be open for visitors at least once a semester, will be christened with a champagne toast.

Search for missing UF student continues

Christian Aguilar, an 18-year-old biomedical engineering freshman from Miami, was last seen at about 6 p.m. Thursday after he was dropped off in a parking lot on the 4900 block of Northwest 13th Street, according to a GPD news release. Aguilar’s friends and family have not seen or heard from him since his disappearance.

Student clubs responsible for registration growth

Pam Carpenter, Alachua County supervisor of elections, said about 1,500 to 3,000 forms are received each week. Since the primary, there has been an increase of 5,172 voters in the county, which she said is largely due to student registration organizations.
