The sad news for future fashion journalists

Oct. 23, 2013 was a sad day for all of us fashionistas who want to lead a successful career in the fashion industry. Condé Nast who owns Vogue, Teen Vogue, W and many other fashion magazines decided to end their internship program starting 2014 due to many law suits surrounding interns.

Venues, city tidy up Fest 12 aftermath

The aftermath of Fest includes fan souvenirs of left-behind trash. For some venues, the cleanup is relatively easy, given the number of people who migrate to the four-day festival. But part of the responsibility also falls on the city.

Weed classification changes doesn’t bowl over researchers

Researchers want the chance to blaze new ground in medical marijuana treatments. Across the country, many are pushing for marijuana to be classified as a Schedule II drug, the group for drugs with no medical use and a high potential for abuse, and the University of Florida community is skeptical of the change.
