Friday brings the second meet for the Florida cross country team, as they travel to Tallahassee to compete in the FSU Invitational at Apalachee Regional Park. Both the men’s and women’s teams look to finish as they did last year: first.
The opening meet of the season for Florida took place Friday morning as the Mountain Dew Invitational took place at Mark Bostick Golf. The Gators took third as they welcomed three ACC schools to the Swamp in Florida State University, University of Miami, and Georgia Tech.
Every sport has dealt with challenges presented by COVID-19 this year. As a new season begins on Friday for UF, it too has had to change.

Florida will compete in what may be its final meet of the season in Tallahassee on Friday at 8:30 a.m. when Florida State hosts the NCAA South Regional Championships.

The regular season is over for the Florida cross country team. Nobody may be happier than Jessica Pascoe, who quite frankly, might be getting bored of the competition.
Florida will compete in the Arturo Barrios Invitational in College Station, Texas, on Saturday at 9 a.m., hosted by the Texas A&M Aggies. It will be UF’s final meet before the SEC Championship.
Florida’s cross country team came away with wins in the men’s 8K and women’s 5K at the FSU Invitational on Friday to sweep the competition.
