Columnist bids farewell to college experiences, memories

Since I graduate in about a week and a half, I think now is a good time to say goodbye. Some things you say goodbye to are things we’ll all need to say goodbye to. Farewell, increasing tuition. Some things you say goodbye to are special to my class. Farewell, Tim Tebow. And some things are more personal goodbyes. Farewell, Professor Shoaf. This is a mix of all of those.

Can’t be shook.” These lyrics, from “Can’t Be Touched” by Body Head Bangerz, boxer Roy Jones Jr.’s rap group, echo over the speakers before every home UF baseball game, and the reason is far more than the need for a catchy rap song.

Joe O’Malley has been living in a tent in Gainesville since September. His home, part of a homeless camp known as Tent City, was surrounded by car batteries, beer bottles and other trash, which had been accumulating there for years.

Alligator coverage on officers personell files misleading

When it comes to hindsight most individuals have 20/20 vision, which is clear in the article “Background Check.” The article at first glance appears to be an article about the hiring process of the University Police Department. However, in the midst of a description of the polygraph procedure, the writers mentioned information from the personnel files of two of the officers involved in the shooting of student Kofi Adu-Brempong.

Improv groups performed for two-day event

They got the crowd laughing by taking on roles as pirates, creepy costume shop owners and drunk college students Saturday, but the actors from the Upright Citizens Brigade and Theatre Strike Force take improv seriously.
