Hunter on campus and in classes

Highly recruited defensive tackle Omar Hunter is in Gainesville and taking classes for Summer A. Hunter is a definite threat for a starting bid this season, especially with Javier Estopinian still recovering from knee surgery. He was the No. 2 rated tackle by Scout and Rivals.

GPD officer resigns amid internal investigation

Officer John Bostick of the Gainesville Police Department resigned last week and is a part of an ongoing internal investigation, according to Officer Summer Hallett, GPD spokeswoman. Hallett said she could not comment on the nature of the investigation at this time.
