Brown’s promising future now in doubt

Chris Brown catapulted to the highest heights of fame at the age of 16 for having "the dance moves of Usher and a voice all his own." Three years later, he was charged for domestic violence against long-time girlfriend and fellow R&B singer Rihanna, to which he pleaded not guilty.

Potheads targeted by new tobacco tax

Judging by how our national press covered the G-20 summit, President Barack "Blue Steel" Obama was off in Europe refereeing his wife's Zoolander-esque "walk-off" against French First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy.

UF needs grade redistribution system

While I am happy to see that our country is moving in a more progressive direction, I am sad that I cannot say the same about the University of Florida. Our good president Barack "The Messiah" Obama is steering the nation toward a much fairer, redistributive taxation and social program system which will take from the greedy rich bastards to provide for those who have fallen on harder times. Every single rich person in America, after all, "earned" his or her fortune by denying opportunities to the poor.

Pros of legal weed need consideration

Stoners everywhere have been getting mixed signals lately thanks to the Obama administration's stance on legalizing marijuana. Last week, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited Mexico for her first diplomatic tour of the country that has been rocked by more than 7,300 deaths in the Mexican government's war on drugs. Clinton alluded to a change in U.S. drug policy after conceding that America's voracious appetite for drugs only fuels the problem.

Morning–after kit cures walk of shame

It's 9:17 a.m. He's still asleep, of course. You're wearing his clothes, but there's no way you're going to wear them home. And your only other option is a little red dress and leopard stilettos. But with a 10:40 a.m. class and a desperately needed shower, you swallow your pride and brave the streets.

UF needs to fix scholarship practices

People have spent the past few days filling this paper with complaints about the budget cuts. Admittedly, the cuts are controversial and probably imperfect, but you have to make sacrifices when there's no money available. For those of us who are already here, there's not much to do other than accept it.
