After not receiving a text back Friday night, a woman and her accomplice dropped feces on a man’s bed and wrote “B----” on his wall using duct tape, Gainesville Police said.

At about 12:30 a.m., 18-year-old Nikki Rowena Sismanidis and 19-year-old Jasmine Marie Suarez, both from Gainesville, entered the man’s unlocked apartment in the 1700 block of SW Ninth Way and walked into his bedroom, according to a police report.

The duo then used duct tape to spell out the profanity on his wall and planted animal poop on his bed, causing about $500 in damages, according to the report. Removal of the duct tape caused several layers of the wall’s paint to come off.

The man told police that Sismanidis became hostile after he did not reply to her text message Friday asking where he was, according to the report. He also said Sismanidis would often get mad when he wouldn’t want to hang out with her.

During a police-monitored call with the man, Sismanidis and Suarez admitted to vandalizing the man’s room, according to the report.

Police arrested the two on charges of burglary and criminal mischief. Authorities took them to the Alachua County Jail where they were released Sunday on their own recognizance.

As of press time, Sismanidis could not be reached for comment, and Suarez declined to comment.
