Mediums offering messages from lost loved ones, acupuncture physicians touting instant acupressure facelifts and licensed therapists administering shoulder massages will all be available under one roof this Saturday.

The Spiritual Connections Psychic Faire will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, located at 4225 NW 34th St., from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The fair is appropriate for all ages and admission costs $3. Most of the services provided on-site cost about $20.

Marguerite Romeis, who has been a psychic reader for 28 years and teaches classes at Santa Fe College, has organized the fair in Gainesville three times a year for the past 14 years, she said.

"I just got tired of people thinking we were a bunch of kooks," Romeis said.

There will be vendors selling food and items such as candles and Indian clothing.

Additionally, about 50 booths will feature specialties that include healing, massage, psychic reading and acupressure, the event coordinator said.

Louise Link, a medium clairvoyant, said she receives messages using senses beyond the standard five.

She will conduct 15-minute psychic readings at the fair for $20 each. However, fair-goers won't find out from Link the upcoming lotto numbers or how long they have to live.

"I don't predict the future," she said, "because I don't believe we can."

Welcome to the discussion.
