Gainesville Police arrested a woman accused of stealing from Walmart Tuesday night.

Patricia Buggs, who has 34 guilty convictions involving theft, has been barred since 2013 from going to all Walmarts in Alachua County because of a trespass warning, according to the report.

Around 8 p.m., Buggs, 47, was seen on video surveillance at the Walmart at 1800 NE Waldo Rd. She was filmed placing items in her purse, in the front of her pants and in a pink book bag, according to an arrest report. The items were valued at $263.01.

Buggs was then seen leaving, passing all the registers, according to the report. A loss prevention officer made contact with her and took her to Walmart’s loss prevention office.

Buggs was charged with petit theft and trespassing after a warning. Buggs remained in the Alachua County Jail in lieu of a $20,000 bail.
