Former UF QB under investigation for sexual assault

Former Florida quarterback Chris Leak is being investigated for sexual assault, according to a police report.

Leak, a member of the Gators’ 2006 national championship team, reportedly asked a 16-year old girl to massage him at Edgewater High School in Orlando, where Leak worked as the head football coach before resigning on Monday.

According to the Orlando Sentinel Leak has not been charged with a crime but is being investigated by police.

Leak asked for the massage in an office near the school’s football field on Sept. 5, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

The girl told police that her hand brushed Leak’s genitals, and after the girl had told a friend what had happened, Leak gave the girl's friend $100, according to the report.

Leak, 31, served as a graduate assistant at Florida in 2013 and a wide receivers coach at UF in 2014 before being hired by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2015.

Leak was hired as the football coach at Edgewater High in February. The team went 0-5 before Leak resigned.
