About (the other) M.E.

Megan Taylor

Deep in the bowels of the Alligator, when reporters and copy editors are asleep in their beds, I'm still staring at the computer screen. I'm the managing editor for new media at the Alligator. Whether you call it "new media," "online journalism" or "multimedia journalism," my job is to help tell stories in the medium best suited to each one. My staff members and I put together the slideshows and videos you love to watch over and over again. We worked all summer with my predecessor, Brett Roegiers, to bring you the awesome new Web site.

Away from the newsroom I work two other jobs, keep a personal blog and generally geek out. I love videogames, anything with enough caffiene to kill a small mammal, teaching myself basic programming and any book with a decent plotline and great word choices.

Adam, Lyndsey and I want to respond to your comments, questions and rants about our news coverage. We'll do that here. We'll try to write a few times a week, focusing on issues brought to us by you.
