UF students snacked on free candy as they walked around the Reitz Union Colonnade looking for service opportunities Tuesday at UF's Center for Leadership and Service's Volunteer Organization Fair.

The fair, held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., featured 60 organizations from UF and the Gainesville community, said Regina Forbes, a graduate assistant for the center.

She estimated that about 1,500 to 2,000 students attended the fair.

Transfer student Sabrina Solorzano, a UF biology junior, said she was looking for an opportunity with a medical aspect to supplement her pre-med studies.

Solorzano said she was interested in Gator Smiles, an organization that raises money for children with cleft lip and palate abnormalities.
