Wilber Marshall was honored before Saturday's game and was introduced as UF's newest member of the ring of honor-joining quarterbacks Danny Wuerffel and Steve Spurrier and also Emmit Smith and Jack Youngblood.
Here are some of Marshall's reactions:
"It's incredible with all the fans yelling," said Marshall, fighting back tears. "My last game when I walked away I was in that middle field just looking at the fans. Just to get back there and hear the roar it was so emotional.
"When you play the game you noticed the roar, but when you have to suck it up and listen to this and get this award-it's beyond anything. I thought I could handle it, but it was overwhelming."
