The investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement into the Tasering of a UF student is complete, but the report isn't available to the public yet.

Steve Orlando, UF spokesman, said the 300-page report was released Friday. After UF reviews the findings, the report will be available to the public.

Orlando said he hasn't read the report, so he couldn't comment on it. The report will probably be available Wednesday, he said.

UF President Bernie Machen called for the department to look into the Tasering of Andrew Meyer by University Police Department officers last month.

Police said after Meyer disrupted a forum, they tried to pull him from the room. When Meyer resisted, officers held him to the ground and used a Taser on him, states a police report.

Meyer was charged with a felony and a misdemeanor.

The State Attorney's Office will make the final judgment on Meyer's criminal charges after it reviews the department's findings.
