A traffic crash that occurred at 34th Street and West University Avenue on Thursday afternoon hospitalized a Gainesville resident.
Gainesville Police Department spokeswoman Erica Doll said it took place around 1:15 p.m. Doll said High Springs resident David Borah Jr., 37, was driving south in a 1982 Chevy.
His vehicle hit the 1996 Toyota that Gainesville resident Julie C. Jordan, 41, was driving, Doll said.
Jordan was taken to Shands at UF and had serious injuries, Doll said.
However, as of Thursday evening Jordan was listed in good condition.
