These are the things you should have thought were great

If you're wondering what to get your music-savvy friends for the holidays, consider buying them these releases to add to their record collections. Ha, just kidding - who actually pays for music anymore? Anyway, I couldn't mention only 10, so here's my baker's dozen of top picks for the albums of 2007.

Somewhere amid the remakes, sequels, prequels and book/graphic novel/TV show adaptations, 2007 managed to churn out some decent films. Albeit, some of the movies on this list are in one of the above categories of rip-offs, but without them, I don't think I could even name 10 movies. Here's what I think were the year's best.

*Note: "Sweeney Todd" hasn't come out yet, but once it does, this list will have to be revised.
